Hospital Services
Modus Care operates independent Hospital units in Devon (Exeter & Torbay). These Hospital units usually cater for 1 - 8 people, male or female, in a low secure setting.
All Hospitals are registered with the Healthcare Commission & are staffed with 24 hour clinical nursing staff (RNLD or RMN) All staff are expected to participate in on-going training and professional development, to ensure a high standard of care & a therapeutic approach.
All placements are subject to a comprehensive service needs assessment, and are based on the principles of meeting individual needs in a supportive environment, with an emphasis on promoting independent living in a ‘homely' setting.
Modus Care Hospital units provide specialist placements for individuals with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (Autism, Aspergers) personality disorder, learning disability & other associated mental health needs.
Modus Care Hospital units are able to offer placements to individuals liable to be detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) & offer ‘in - house' consultant psychiatry. Regular inspections by the Mental Health Act Commission ensure detained patients are supported in line with current legislation and best practice guidelines.
