 Penhayes

Penhayes House is a small hospital unit situated in Kenton, a small village, 15 minutes from the city of Exeter. The hospital unit opened in August 2006, with accommodation being provided over two floors to provide a flexible use of the environment; Penhayes House is registered with the Healthcare Commission for up to eight patients, both male and female.

The unit is close to Powderham Castle and is next door to Modus Care Head Office.  There is ample on site parking for visitors.

Services are offered to people with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who have associated mental health needs, some of whom require treatment or assessment under the Mental Health Act (1983)

Each Patient has their own room and private bathroom suite. The environment at Penhayes House is designed to provide a homely and less institutional setting where treatment can be provided within a therapeutic surrounding. Admissions are subject to full and detailed service needs assessments, and the subsequent agreed Service Specification.
