Modus Care is making significant investments in upgrading, tailoring and extending our facilities to ensure we can provide the very highest standards of care for our clients.

 

Bespoke care units in Plymouth

Modus Care has invested substantially in creating five new highly bespoke care environments at one of our residential homes in Plymouth. The units are designed to provide homely, warm and comfortable environments that are also safe, even for the most challenging of clients.  Tim Raymant, MD of Modus Care, says: “We have created these environments to maximise the individual’s opportunities to become more independent. It is an integral part of the Modus Care Pathway approach.  “It means that we can ensure the individual’s safety within their environment without resorting to physical restraint. That removes the risk of an incident escalating, and ultimately is better for the service user and staff.” The investments in Plymouth are part of the Modus Care strategy to continuously improve the levels of care provided, and the amount of independence service users enjoy.  The bedrooms, living spaces, and bathrooms are specifically designed to enable clients to have wider access around the site without the risk of harming themselves or others.

 

 

Refurbishment in Torbay

Our residential home in Torbay is benefitting from a refurbishment which includes creating a completely bespoke living environment for one individual.  The work also includes a full internal refurbishment of living and communal areas, window replacements, and upgrading en-suite facilities in all bedrooms.

 

Surrey

Modus Care has residential facilities in Surrey, and following the successful opening of our latest site, which has included providing a day service alongside the residential provision, we are now looking at further development opportunities in the South East region.  Surrey also support our Hospital Units in providing a step down service for individuals and have successfully been involved in the transition of an individual from our Hospital Unit in Exeter to one of the residential facilities.

 

Hospital service improvements

Modus Care has launched an extensive programme to develop our Exeter Hospital site which, while in the initial stages is planned to create four new bespoke care units.  The units will be designed to the same flexible and robust standards as the upgraded facilities in Plymouth, to ensure greater independence, less use of restraint and a higher quality of life for Individuals.
