Application Process

Working with individuals with ASD's and associated mental health conditions

Following the completion of your application form and once it has been received at our Head Office you will go through a short-listing process.  If you are successful you will be invited to attend an interview with 2 of our Unit Managers.

Following your interview you will then be informed if you have been successful - at this stage we will send for your references and CRB disclosure.

At Modus Care we request Enhanced Disclosures for all employees.  An enhanced disclosure is for posts involving greater contact with children or vulnerable adults.  Enhanced Disclosures may also contain information that is held locally by the police.

  • At interview, or in a separate discussion, we ensure that an open and measured discussion takes place on the subject of any offences or other matter that might be relevant to the position. Failure to reveal information that is directly relevant to the position sought could lead to withdrawal of an offer of employment.
  • We make every subject of a CRB Disclosure aware of the existence of the CRB Code of Practice. This is available on http://www.disclosure.gov.uk/
  • Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of your offences.

Once we have received your CRB (this can take up to 4 weeks) and we have received satisfactory references you will then be given a start date to commence employment.  You will initially carry out Shadow Shifts for up to 2 weeks.

While awaiting a start date we will endeavour to enlist you on any training that we currently have running which will assist you with your role and career development.
